Comprehensive Health Checkup
The Chicken VetCare Package includes a full physical examination by one of our vets. These checkups help us look for underlying issues that may not be outwardly noticeable to you.
Intestinal Parasite Screen
The Chicken VetCare Package includes parasite screens, which we use to check for pinworms, tapeworms, roundworms, coccidia, and giardia, which can put your chicken’s health at risk.
Crop Analysis
We will carefully swab your chicken’s crop and check the sample under the microscope for giardia, trichomonas, and spirochetes.
Feather Analysis
We will check your chicken’s plumage under the microscope for signs of lice and feather mites.
CBC (Complete Blood Count)
The CBC uses a small drop of blood to screen your chicken for issues such as infection, inflammation, and/or anemia.
Chlamydia Species Screen
We will perform chlamydia screening to check for several types of bacterial infection (avian chlamydial infection), which can affect chickens and people.
Package Add-Ons
Blood Chemistry Panel: ($140 save $80). Blood chemistries can reveal any issues related to tissue and internal organ dysfunction and help to detect diabetes, kidney disease, liver disease, and other disorders.
