Laser Therapy for Exotic Pets in Charleston
Exotic Vet Care uses advanced healing technology to benefit your pet. Laser therapy is a non-invasive, drug-free treatment that uses deep-penetrating light energy to stimulate the repair of damaged cells and release endorphins. This healing process is known as photobiomodulation.
Benefits include increased blood flow, decreased inflammation, pain relief, improved mobility and range of motion, increased healing of damaged tissue, and treatment of persistent infections.

What to Expect from Your Exotic Pet's Laser Therapy Treatment
Treatment results can vary depending on your pet’s condition and other factors. Typically, chronic conditions require multiple, roughly 4-5, treatments for us to see considerable improvement in pain reduction and mobility.
Treatments are cumulative in nature. For most patients, the affected area starts feeling better within 12-24 hours of treatment.
Supporting Comfort, Healing, and Mobility
Laser therapy gives our team another non-invasive option for managing pain, inflammation, wound healing, mobility concerns, and recovery after certain procedures. Because it can be used for a wide range of conditions across birds, reptiles, and pocket pets, treatment can be tailored to the individual patient and the concern we’re addressing.
Laser therapy can also support healing following certain surgical procedures, giving our team another tool to help patients recover more comfortably.
