The Education Continues

Our doctors travel a few times a year to conferences focused on the latest developments in avian and exotic medicine.  Dr. Rainwater attended ExoticsCon in September, which included seminars on avian ultrasound, parrot cognition and behavior, small mammal cardiology, and advanced techniques in avian surgery, just to name a few.  Dr. Biascoechea left the hurricane behind last week and went to San Antonio for the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners’ Symposium, where he attended panels on pain management in various species, GI disorders in exotic mammals, foot and musculoskeletal disorders in rabbits and rodents, and so much more.  These seminars keep our doctors on the cutting edge of veterinary medicine, and they always return refreshed and full of new ideas and techniques to share.
